Education and Profession Requirements
To work as a foreign-educated nurse in the U.S, you must demonstrate at least some of the following:
- You graduated from an accredited nursing school in your country of origin.
- You are licensed as a Registered Nurse in a country outside the boarders of U.S.A.
- You’ve worked as a Registered Nurse for at least two years.
- You’ve demonstrated proficiency with the English language by passing an exam such as the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), the Test of English for International Communication (TOEIC) or the International English Language Testing System (IELTS Academic). There are exemptions to this depending on your country of origin.
Immigration Requirements
You will need to obtain a Registered Nurse Immigrant Visa (“Green Card”) or H-1B visa.
- U.S. law requires nurses to complete a screening program before they can receive an occupational visa.
- CGFNS is the governing authority to validate the credentials of nine foreign healthcare professions for occupational visas, including registered nurses.
- Completing CGFNS’ visa screening will satisfy the screening program requirement.
- You will need a “U.S.-based employer” that will serve as the petitioner for your visa. Your Visa Screen certificate must be included on every visa or green card petition filed on your behalf.
Referral Bonus
Healthcare Staffing Providers has implemented a new referral bonus structure. This is an opportunity for you to reap the rewards by simply referring an NCLEX or NPTE/NBCOT completed candidate who lives outside the boarders of U.S.A. Payment structure as follows:
- RN who has passed NCLEX-RN: $1,000
- RN who has the CGFNS Professional Certificate: $500
- RN who has not passed NCLEX-RN: $500
- PT/OT who has passed NPTE/NBCOT: $1,000
- PT/OT who has not passed NPTE/NBCOT: $500
You will get paid after the candidate completes three months of continuous work with HSP client medical facility in the U.S.A
Requirements:
- The candidate must have passed NCLEX or NPTE/NBCOT and eligible for US License.
- The bonus reward is redeemable only to whoever first referred the candidate to HSP.
- Candidate must use the referrer’s personal link to apply. No exceptions.
- This promotion is not applicable to candidates who are already in HSP system.
- Number of referrals is unlimited.
- Income subject to U.S.A taxation
